Portal

Portal is a small 3 hour long puzzle game that was introduced by the Orange Box, which also contained Half-Life 2, Episode 1 and 2, and Team Fortress 2.
You play as Chell, a person who wakes up in Apreture Science Laboritories to the voice of GLaDOS a robotic computer. After completing about 3 "test chambers" you find the "portal gun" a device that lets you shoot portals onto almost any surface. As you progress through the chambers it becomes quite clear that something is up.
It was really good and the gameplay mechanics worked really well. It had the best ending to a game that I have seen in long time and the song that played during the credits is now my favourite song.

Splinter Cell: Conviction

The fifth installment in the epic Splinter Cell series. It made stealth action funner than it's been in a long time.

After the events of Double Agent Sam Fisher has left the secret agency Third Echelon in search of revenge. After his daughter's death Sam Fisher has been following leads and questioning anyone who might know any thing leading him to the man who killed her.

It is suggested that you play Double Agent Before you play this but it is not necessary. It was really fun and I liked how you could make use of pretty much all your surroundings. It is gunning against Mass Effect 2 for my favourite game.

Clash of the Titans

The titans clash a second time with this visually stunning remake.
After becoming fed up with the gods, mankind wages war with them.
Caught up in all this is Perseus a humble fisherman whose family is killed by Hades (the god of hell). Zeus gives man, one week to prove their loyalty by killing their princess. After which he will "release the Kraken" Wanting revenge Perseus decides to join his brethren to lead a small group to find a way to kill the monster.
It was a very good film with a good story and amazing visuals. Unfortunately the acting was average and I doubt they used words like "mate" and "bitch" back then. Zeus and Hades both played major roles but even though he was commonly mentioned Poseidon was nowhere to be seen And even by the end I still don't know what a "Titan" is!?

Avatar: The Game

Yes, James Cameron's movie masterpiece has been video gamed, but will it be an exception to the bad movie game rule.
Set roughly 2 years before the events in the film, you play as Ryder, a "signals specalist" who has been deployed into the beautiful but deadly world of Pandora. After tracking down a mole who is feeding infomation to the Na'vi Ryder is faced with the choice to help the Na'vi's cause or stick with the human forces.
It was a fun game with interesting weapons and skills. But the skills are the same for Human and Na'vi with just with diffrent names which bugged me a little. But the Pros outweigh the Cons.

Date Night

Two very funny actors team up in this predictable but very funny movie.

After realising that their relationship needs a bit of change married couple Phil and Claire decide to go to the fancy restaurant Claw instead of their usual steakhouse. After not being able to get a reservation they steal someone else's. Soon after, they regret it because the two people that were supposed to be having dinner have also stolen a very valuble USB. This poor couple get wraped up in all the crazy stuff going on.

This is your standard "No you've got the wrong people" movie and it didn't bring anything new to the table, but the genre is still funny and it was a good easy watch.
